Based on the request of many riders and national federations the IUF Board decide last year that national and continental championships should be able to get the status to be an official IUF recognized championship. So we can announce now the first official European Championship UNIOEC 2015.
This event will happen in the first two weeks of August 2015 in Mondovi/Italy. You can find a first overview about the event here. The registratgion will open after Unicon.
Is there any possibility af ‘pushing’ the event a few days? In Scandinavia and I believe the northern half of Germany schools and many educational places atart at August 10. 2015. Most of the young potential competitors from Northern Europe have to be back that day.
We will forward this request to the host but as far as i know it is already fixed. Also in the southern part of Europe (and also southern part of Germany school hollidays start at the 1. of August so its not possible to find a perfect schedule I guess. Many thanks for the input anyway, lets see what the host say.
