A year or so ago On One Wheel had an article on making a snow tire for a
unicycle. The general idea was to run rivets around each side of the tire,
then zig-zag picture-hanging wire between the rivets. The article gave more
detail. I've been meaning to try this, but haven't gotten around to it
yet.
