A new topic! I learned when I was 16 or 17. I had mowed some lawns one
summer, and decided I didn't want to waste it on something frivolous. I went
out and bought a Schwinn 24" uni for $45. It came with a booklet, so I at
least new to start out from a curb. The first night I held on to my aunt,
although knowing how hard people hold on to me I must have fallen off fairly
quickly. She had to work during the day (I stayed with her in the summer
while my parents were in the Dominican Republic), so I made do with two
broomsticks. It was about two weeks before I could ride down the street
without falling.
